Nice little weekender to the coast to visit some good friends. We were expecting rain all weekend and we got some nice little patches of blue sky. Enough to give in to the cries for ice cream.

We enjoyed riding bikes, walking up mountains, playing at the beach and just getting out and about.

We also captured evidence that there is sometimes sun in Wales.

Amongst all the other things to do around the house we've been picking away at the garden and it's starting to look something like what we imagined.

Looking forward to the plants in the borders becoming more established and seeing how it changes over the year.

The more eyes, the more attempts to get them all looking at the camera. Especially when there's a one-year-old involved. But think I got this one.

So far we've been lucky with the weather but looks like that's going to change with rain expected. But it wouldn't be Wales without rain would it?

There's certainly some stunning scenery around here in Snowdonia.

Seb was officially invested as a Cub today. 30 som

Seb was officially invested as a Cub today. 30 something years after I was.

Due to Covid, parents haven't generally been able to see investitures for a while. And it's also not overly common to be invested in front of the monument/icon depicted on the Cheltenham badge, if at all. The cubs had been on a ride, which I was helping supervise, and they ended up at the Pittville Pump Rooms. So not only was it not their normal hut, but he also had a park full of people to say the promise in front of.

He was so excited though and did brilliantly. Now he needs to earn some badges. Cycling badge first we think.
